Nice and easy rides close to LA ?PeterRider

Hi,

I am based in Pasadena, CA, and would like to know about nice and not too difficult rides in the area. Do you know any website describing some ?

I want to go out during week-ends with my roommate. He has no training at all and is on a mountain bike with "road tires" (I don't know the names of those tires, the ones that stick less than regular mtb tires... maybe "slick"), whereas I'm on my road bike, so we need rides that are not too difficult !

Thanks,

Take your buddy to Griffith Park or the Rose Bowl. There is an 8 mile loop in GP. It's a big park. you have to go to the glendale side. Park near the zoo. Ride from there to travel town. Make a U-turn and go back to Los Feliz.

If you don't make a U-turn at travel town you'll go up a short hill through the back side to the driving range and pop out back near the merry-go-round area. You can't get lost unless you go on dirt (which is illegal).

Have fun!
