Sidi Dominator 4 Mega vs. Carnac AlizePoulidor

Does anyone out there have any experience with both of these shoes? I have wide feet and will be using them with SPD pedals on a road bike. I wonder how they compare regarding fit/finish/durability and especially stiffness. Any first-hand experiences would be appreciated.

Thank you

No experience w/ Carnac, but I have ridden lots of different shoes, and I swear by the Sidis. I wear a 43 mega, and the fit is outstanding. In my other life, I wear a 9 1/2 EE-EEE, depending on the brand, and until I tried Sidis, I was never comfortable.

Thanks for the feedback. How stiff are the Sidi shoes?

they don't have excessive flex in the sole, but it's not like wearing a hockey skate either (which is a problem I've had in the past). Don't notice difference on or off the saddle, either, which is another problem I've experienced in the past.

One drawback I did not mention . . . the arch buildup is not as significant as I would like. I use inserts from running store and it's been no problem

Yes, I was concerned about flex.

Thank you for the information.
