i was a little disappointed to see that the Downtown Crit wasn't happening, but the Rock for the Roses has a descent line-up. i won't be riding this year, instead i'll be running...kinda sucks, but oh well. i might try and squeeze in the 40mi. ride if i know i've got the time. aight, i'm done...

I'll be there. I'm coming down from Dallas on Saturday. I plan on the 100 mile ride on Sunday morning. Isn't the run on Saturday? I might do that too.

Taking the wife and doing the 70. Sorry to hear the crit is off, I was looking forward to watching. Same is true of the Hotter'n Hell Hundred, no race this year.

I'll be there, went last year and had a great time. Due to a variety of circumstances, I havent gotten as much training time as I would like, but oh well, if I bonk it will be among friends, right?!

Had planned on the century, but too many snowy weekends have slowed down my spring riding, so I registered for the 70.

While the downtown crit will not take place this year there will be crit that weekend. Some of the former LAF people have organized a crit to take place on Saturday in Austin. Next year they hope to move it downtown again.
is it going to be teams, or just whoever wants to race? nmdustin73

I won't voucher for stellar times in either, training time been hard to come by w/ weather, illness, and work but what the hell. I'll just pack some extra Advil. . . When in Austin. . .

I'll be there too. Flying in from D.C. on Friday. If anyone has more info. about that crit, please post it. As for me, despite a flu that lingered for 4 weeks in the middle of my training, I will be going for my first century. Did 70 miles last Sat. in 5 hrs. 30 mins. so I'm near my target of the century in 7 hours or less. BTW, anyone know if any bars/end of ride party will broadcast Paris-Roubaix or at least have updates? While we'll all be on the road, hopefully, George H. will be kickin' butt on the cobbles!! I'll be taping it on the dish for when I get back. Thank God for OLN.

Has that gone away for you? I'm right around the 4 week mark and it sucks. Everytime I exert myself, it comes back; sinuses, running nose, sore throat. It's really cut into my training as well. It sucks after doing really well over the winter and now a few weeks out from a century, I'm probably in the worst shape I've been in for a long time. I'm thinking I should go to the doctor and get some antibiotics to finally kick this crap so I can back on schedule. Just wondering what your experience was. . .
