usually a non-analgesic containing capsicum, menthol or similar.
I thought I saw a tv ad for an adhesive 'heating' pad for lower back pain, but I can't remember the brand, and couldn't find it at the store.
You can also get them in Chinese pharmacies, but beware - they can be unbelievably hot! Ask for a plaster bandage.

|I found some in our local Safeway supermarket. They come in a couple different sizes. It isn't like Ben-Gay. It actually heats up. The large size is for back pain. It takes 30minutes to heat up and provides 8 hours of heat.|
