polar owners: tried that polar fitness test yet? opinions?weiwentg

I just did my test on the S210. the results are apparently an approximate V02max reading. how they correlated heartbeat, age, body weight, height, and V02max, I'm not particularly sure. I've never had mine measured clinically, but I think the reading they gave me is either accurate or on the high side.
anyone have opionions? any sports physicians have opinions?

I would agree. I did mine at Xmas, just after I unwrapped my gift, I was pleasantly surprised, but not so shocked that I thought it was wildly inaccurate. I think it's intended as a comparitive guide to help you monitor yur own progress rather than a clinical test.

yes, but they imply that it's connected to VO2max ... they don't say it directly, but their literature implies it. very interesting.
