I just bought my Polar S710 and when uploading my data to my PC I am having troubles understanding the log files. For starters when I look at the Curve view, it shows that I rode half the distance that I completed for that ride. If I right click on the graph it will then show the entire distance, however, I loose the data of my average spped and cadence. How can I get both? Can someone give me a setup TIPs of this software?
Thanks

Sorry - this isn't help, but I am thinking about buying the S710 and would lvoe to hear some opinions. 1st off, what accessories do you need to buy with it? It is unclear on every website. It comes with a speed sensor right? Do you you have to buy the cadence sensor and you have to buy an infrared receiver unit (even if your laptop already has one)? Anything else?

How big/heavy are the sensors?

Do they install in clean, unobtrusive locations?

How stable is the signal? My Polar HRM (Edge NV) has one or two tweaks per ride where it jumps up to the 220s for a minute. I guess that it is interference from power lines. Do you notice the same with yours?

Actually, I do have some advice for your problem. There is supposed to be a way to export the data in CSV (comma separated values), which is easy to import into Excel. In Excel, you can do all sorts of statisical and graphical analysis.

I've cleared up the intermittant signal by tilting the mount to just forward of level. No problems since.

The Infared is required if you have anything Windows 98 or later. Speed sensor is standard, Cadence or power are optional.

Check out the Polar sight for more info.
