|Asking beacuse my new bike comes with them. Here in Canada they follow UCI rules for wheels and I want to make sure they will be legal or I will get diffrent wheels.
Link to UCI's web page about legal wheels. The ssc and ssc sl are listed but not Elite

|I believe so- I think (but am not 100%) that the 'Elite' is the re-named SSC. As I understand it, the SL was an improvement to the SSC, and the old SSC became the Elite. But I have been wrong before.|

|Ok now I am even more concerned. Mavic's web page
Says that they do. My bike shop now says that they have talked to the Canadian supplier and they probably will not. Does anyone else here have any more info. For now my order for the wheels has been canceled and I'm not sure what I will do. I was looking forward to the bombproof ness the wheels offered.
Please help and advise.

|Well, I can't really help too much, but I can offer you my feeling. It is my opinion that you can spend less for lighter, just as bombproof wheels.|

|Print that page out, purchase the wheels, and then if they do not pass the conformity test, call Mavic up and demand that they supply you with a pair of wheels that does conform. If Mavic says they conform, they conform. In reality, I wouldn't worry about it.|

|I seem to recall that when Mavic announced the new line they said that at least the spokes were different on the new Elite Ks (somewhat cheaper, and slightly heavier) than on last years SSCs. The elites do have the FTS hubs, though.|
