I'm seen some posts recently which made me think whether I have the right rear der. I just got a a new 12-27 cassette & a DA rear der. The rear der measures 2inches from C-C btwn cog wheels & I would be using this with 39-53 chain rings. Is this ok? Thanks!

All you need is the standard D-A rear derailleur for the double crank. The only other D-A rear der is for the new D-A triple, and it would probably work too. I'm assuming you have a 9-speed cassette.

OOPS. Forgot. You will need to add some chain if you've been running a smaller big cog and you may need to adjust the "B" screw on the derailleur to accommodate the 27 cog.
