hey i found what i think is a really good deal on a 1997 lemond chambery with a oclv frame for $600. it has shimano 8-speed ultegra with sti. i was just wondering if this was a good deal and also some feedback about the bike. i've heard some good stuff but would like to hear more. thanks.

I ride a '97 Chambery with the Ultegra power train, and there's NO way I'd sell if for $600.00. I wouldn't sell it for four times that. So yeah, I'd say it's a good deal, assuming of course that the frame is sound, it hasn't been crashed, etc. I upgraded mine with a Reynolds fork and Vector Pro wheels and feel I'm on about as good a ride as there is out there without spending a ton more money.

Yeah i guess i got the price wrong on the ad. it's just about four times $600.
