|Interesting concept. The shop I worked at would throw a bike stand, tools and supplies in their van and go out to the the start of the local event rides. They'd do on-the-spot tuneups, repair flats, tweak components. When the ride was on, they'd cruise the course with walkie-talkies and do repairs on the road.
Read a while back that Peking, China has a small number of street mechanics who set up on major routes during rush hours and fix bikes from sidewalk stalls. Have you done any marketing efforts at events, large regular weekend rides, or places people go to ride, etc? What do you charge for labor? How far will you go with your rig? What services do you offer? What replacement parts do you stock?

|Sadly, they went out of Business 4 or 5 years ago. The had a proper store, but also a delivery van that would do house calls.|| |
