|My cateye computer unit rattles excessively in the housing apparatus which is securely affixed to the handlebars. This may be the result of detaching the unit for transport or on to another bike. Does anyone have a quick fix as its getting worse|

|I have four of them, and have never experienced this problem. The only thing I can imagine, is that it may not be clipping in securely. Is the tab that locks it in broken, or not engaging? Do you hear the click when it engages? Are the grooves on the computer housing broken? You didn't mention the model, so I'm thinking it's a Mity. If it wasn't secure, it wouldn't be working|

|Did you trasfer the little rubber strip that goes between the computer mount and the handlebars?|
|Does it rattle on both bikes?||Spoke Wrench|

|If it does, the head is worn in some way. I'd buy a new computer.
If it only rattles on one bike, then the wireing harness is to blame. Buy a new wireing harness.

|If you seldom remove it, put a dab of silicone caulk at the joint of the 2 pieces wher you can get to it easily. This will stop the shake and the silicone will peel off to enable a battery change.|

|I remove mine after evey ride so i can input the data into my computer, and I have now noticed that it rattles
from taking it off/on all the time. So I just put a folded piece of paper under the main part, and hold it in
place as I slide it back onto the clamp. This has stopped the rattles and I can still remove the clock after every ride.
