Polar S510 sticking button...(3 posts)

Polar S510 sticking button...Velocipedio

The Start button on my Polar S510 HRM has begun to stick. It's not so bad, but sometimes it emits an audible click when I try to do the data download, and I occasdionally have to press it twice to mark a lap.

I suspect the problem is accumulated sweat [I've been wearing it for jogging, etc. in the off-season]. Is there a simple, non-invasive way to fix or clean this? Anyone else have this problem?

Take a shower with it, seriously. The thing is supposed to be fairly water resistant.

You probably have all sorts of dead skin, salt, mung and crud in there. I get my S710 splattered with mud and sweat all the time, but it works just fine. A little fresh water works wonders.
That worked... Thanks. (nm)Velocipedio
