|I test-rode the Litespeed Arenberg this weekend. I really liked it. I can get it with either 105 or Campy Centaur (used to be Daytona) and any wheelset I want.
This is my first REAL Road Bike as my other bike is a Trek 7000 Mtn Bike.
What should I get? I plan on riding it for fitness, group rides, perhaps a race or two.
I want to keep the total cost down as much as possible but I am willing to sacrifice a couple of Latte's for it! :-)

|Shimano/Campy: Personal pref.
Wheelset: To keep the total cost down I'd recommend a set of Open Pros. Great wheels, not too costly.

What components did it have on it when you had your test ride?
Buy those. If it was a more expensive group, buy from the same manufacturer. In other words, you already answered your component question.
Wheels? I second Open Pros. Cheap, bulletproof.
