Question on long valve tubes...(4 posts)

Question on long valve tubes...DINOSAUR
Mar 2, 2002 8:43 AM
I think I already know the answer on this one, but I need to put my mind at rest. I have a good supply of long valve (60mm) tubes I need for my Rolf wheels (they need a tube with a valve stem of at least 48mm). The wheels on my new bike will be Mavic O.P.'s. Aside from looking a little weird, will these long valve tubes work with the O.P. rims (silver)? If not, I need to dig around a find some tubes on sale. I don't see a reason why the long valve tubes wouldn't work. Aside from being careful when I'm inflating my tires, and being careful of not snapping the valve stems...
yeah, they will work. nmC-mond

As long as the fashion police don't catch you then you will be fine.

If it was my bike, everytime I went on a group ride, I'd check what everybody else was using for wheels until I found somebody to trade with.
