quickly, what's the difference between the '00 and '01 Giant TCR? my friend's got a good offer for either year frameset. I know the '00 uses different aluminium. any difference in stiffness/durability?

anyway, he got the frame. it was a good deal: $650 with a pair of used Ksyriums. argh. I am so sore about the Ksyriums.

He shoulda bought a Motobecane. Four writers have testified that it is the greatest bike ever!

no, he got a great deal on a TCR frame.
I'd certainly be willing to give Motobecane a chance if their frames prove themselves. are you? don't flame them if you haven't ridden them. and don't simply assume that anyone who says Motobecane is good is a paid spammer.
integrated headset, that's about it... could be also...tempeteKerouak

... a quill stem? not sure, maybe depends on the version, but frame only, no real dif.

Friend of mine has a 2000 -could it be 1999?? Once team frame, I have the 2001 TCR 2. Same thing except for the integrated bearing cups... They are both 1 1/8...

2000 frame is a-ok to me. Check with Giant? All my searches indicate a similar frame, the same sold in 2002. Why change a winning set-up!

it's definitely a threadless stem. funny, my '01 TCR 1 has a 1" steerer. all carbon. very odd ... and yes, I'm sure it's a '01. the paint scheme is the '01 TCR 0 paint scheme. there was no '00 TCR 0.
