Are there any advantages one way or the other between the older Campy brakes and the newer differential type brakes?

I have both types on different bikes. I can feel no difference whatever, either in stopping power or braking feel. The differential brake is lighter so that's what I'll be putting on my next bike. (Actually I'd prefer Mavics - dual pivot and lighter still - but they're no longer available.)
New ones are better stoppers...koala

My eight speed record brakes were stiffer and took more effort to stop. I liked the finish better though on the old ones.

differentials have a single pivot rear, dualies up front (compared to both dual pivots pre-2001 or so). true dat, dp's work better than the old monoplanars, but even those worked well enough (and better than deltas)
