I was interested in the Shimano SH-R150(carbon sole) and was wondering whether I could walk around when needed without damaging the carbon sole. Sure looks fragile to me. Any tips to take care of it? Oh yeah... what do you guys think of this shoes? Comfort? Stiff? Thanks.

I just got a pair last month. I like them. Stiffness is good for me considering how flexible my last shoe sole was. Walking has not been an issue. I am usually on and off the bike pretty quick. Not much walking is required. Unless you're walking on hot lava it's unlikely you'll damage the sole. Carbon is way stronger than it looks -esp. in this application. Scratches are inevitable, but that's no biggie. The shoe itself is stiff too - it takes time to break in.

I JUST got these shoes by mail order, and even though I haven't had a chance to ride them yet, they sure do look nice. As with other Shimano shoes I've owned in the past, the build quality is exceptional. These shoes look fast even standing still!!! If you are going to get them, go to www.pricepoint.com , as they are selling them for $90.
