Fitting in Seattlevanzutas

I am looking to buy a new road bike. I want to start with a fitting. Who in Seattle is the best to go to get measured. I am willing to pay for the fitting and may not buy a bike from the shop that does the fitting. I just moved here a month ago and currently I am partial to Gregs Aurora Bike Shop.

being partial to Greggs greenlake is a good way to go. I got fitted there a few years ago and the guy was really good, I can't remember his name. I have heard that Elliot bay is ok as well, but some of the people that work there are a bit clueless. The rule in this town, if you want to go to one place and get the right part, go to greggs. Plus the owner is a world champ track racer and does a lot for the local cycling community. He is a nice guy too.

Another vote for Gregg's. No, they're not perfect and you can find some less-than-ideal people there, but overall, they have the most knowledge and expertise.

Enjoy!
Hup Hup to Gregg's as wellbrider

They have the Serotta Fitbike to do the fitting, and they work pretty well with the customers. Aurora is another option (owned by the same guy). TiCycles might be a good one as well, as they have a resident frame builder (Dave Levy, if he's still there).

I don't ride in any teams but I'm thinking of doing the Chilly Hilly this Sunday as it looks to be sunny that day.

Rode for the PSCC/Greggs team for a few years. Basically a good masters team, and you'll get a lot of support IF you're a trackie with a mind to go to nationals. They've farmed out a lot of other senior teams due to how they treated the riders (Pazzo Velo, Seattle Velo). I'm currently with Seattle Velo, though I haven't raced in a couple years.

I went throught a fitting at R&E Cycles a few years ago and it was right-on and pretty decently priced. I bought one of their own custom bikes which was well, GREAT, until its theft.

Gregg's does it on what they call their "Serotta" machine and they charge hundreds of dollars for it, or free if you buy one of their custom order frames. Both Greggs and R&E are nice places, and the latter make their own bikes, which is a plus in my book.
