|I have 2 questions for you all:
1)Have any of you used totalcycling.com to purchase gear? I am lookng for Mavic Ksyeriums andthey are almost $300 less than anyone here in the states. i wanted to know if they were legit and what your experience has been with them.
2) On the Mavic Kyseriums wheelsets SSC SL ($560) what are your remarks on these? I am a bigger guy at 6'4" and 205. I am looking for some stronger wheels as the Spinergy SR3 wheels that came with my Cervelo Prodigy are inducing speed/death wobbles at higher speeds. i have riddenthe mavics (as a loaner from the LBS) for a few rides and they cut out all of the wobble I was seeing and seemed smooth. i read the reviews on the older model and I assume they are fairly similar, but I would still like to hear your recent thoughts on them. should I look at other wheelsets to deal with this problem?

|Yep, used both totalcycling and sdeals.com. Sdeals actually has them for $543 right now. Both sites are fine--you get your stuff in about a week with no hassles. You should check on the tariffs and shipping to see how much that adds, though--there should be a link on each site for that.|

|if your gonna go with a set do it... No worries. I weight about 205ish right now and notice no flex or otherwise. They are very comfortable and ride like the wind... I bought mine at CC because I live in CS plus it's WAY easier to warranty them if there is a problem.
the CHI-CHI factor is extremely high on these wheels too...

|You can get a pair of Open Pro's built with D/A hubs for less than half the price of Ksyriums. Those wheels will be lighter than Ksyriums, just as durable and bombproof and better for most riding conditions. The Ksyrium is a nice sturdy wheel, but it's really not that aero nor is it that light, yet you are paying a pretty penny for it.|
|Not true!! open pros don't hold up.||BDBike|

|Had a Pair of ultegra open pros, they sucked lost spokes all the time as a big rider (230#). My used ksyriums have been no trouble at all. purchased them for $400 from a friend and am very glad that I did. If you are heavy avoid open pros....|

|bought a pair at totalcycling and they came just fine and would not hesitate to buy from them again. The packing job was very good. Don't hesitate, you will be fine.|
