|ensemble that is a little silly, but if you mix and match the jersey with black shorts or vice versa, it isn't that bad. I buy pro jerseys that are on closeout.
I could care less what team as long as I am not paying 70-90 dollars for them. I don't own any team shorts though, but the jerseys are functional and are much better that pearl izumi plain jerseys. Those things rip my nipples apart like sandpaper. Anyway, I kinda agree, but think there is some room for forgiveness here.

|Playing up the silliness of the "replica" jerseys that have been selling for outrageous prices. I like team jerseys as I said. Some people totally scoff at them, go figure. I can tell you the guy that buys that will most likely be the one that goes out in the entire get-up...

|Well, people seem to be against wearing a full pro kit as if they screams Fred or poser. I say who cares? If it looks cool and it makes you want to go out ride more or you feel you have fewer excuses to ride slowly, then go for it.
Besides, when you are paying $45 for some Pro bibs on sale, you are getting way more quality than some $35 performance/nashbar shorts with a crappy chamois.
This mix pro jersey with black shorts thus less fred/poser theory makes no sense whatsoever.

|Check Performance Bike for a sale on Mapei Jerseys and Bibs for $25 each. This may be too flashy for some but it is a great deal.|

|Alot of people poke fun at guys that wear pro gear, but personally you really can't beat the stuff as far as quality goes. I have several pro kits, why not, I'm a freaking cycling fan! (I don't do the gloves, hat, and arm warmers and team bike deal),that would be totally Fred, but the shorts, you can't beat for the money, especially on closeout at the end of the season! Try getting Pearl Izuma & Castelli for $48.00, they start at what $69 for the cheap stuff and $100 for the nice stuff. The chamois in those shorts from Santini and Nalini rock and the jerseys are pretty comfortable as well. It's just like anyother sport, football jerseys at football games, etc. I'm not a big Lance fan, but am a big Hincapie fan.|

|invited to take Mr. Armstrong on a little clandestine ride around D.C. and North Arlington when Lance was here to see the Prez last summer (he got a call from a Trek rep who said, "Lance wants to stretch his legs; wanna go?"). He was told not to tell anyone and to meet Lance at his hotel at such and such a time. He goes, and Lance comes down in full Postal team kit, grabs his Postal Trek, and off they go. |
No one noticed. No one cared. They even went on a bike path. If anyone saw who knew enough to care, they would have said, "what a Fred." I giggle every time I think about it.
They went out again the next day, this time with a small group. They kind of clustered around Lance, but, again, no one seemed to notice.
