If you don't mind paying $250 to a liar for some el cheapo cranks without a legit brand name and that cost $1.5 to make in Taiwan by some 12 year old kid that makes 20 cents a day, then go ahead. Otherwise you will be way better off staying with DA or Record.

Didn't you see him advertising the carbon cranks as "Campagnolo", and when he was bashed by others he claimed "Campagnolo compatible" would be too complicated for people to read?
No I didnt see that add. N/MProboscis

I bought a pair of square tamper Shimano compatible cranks from him last year. I put over 3K miles on them without a problem. I was using 105's, and what a difference in stiffness! The cranks are made by FSA, with an aluminum spine. I don't think they would be lighter than D/A, but they are very nice.

I was skeptical at first also. He replied to all my e-mails, and even sent the cranks to me at work C.O.D., so I could see them before I bought them. What more could you ask for? I wouldn't hesitate to buy from him again.

Well he won't take your money without sending the products. But it's also true that he uses misleading statements in advertising, makes 500% profit on some cheap Taiwan products, is in violation of distribution agreements with other vendors so can't have a brand for these products, and offer a "life time" waranty which is a joke (limited to one replacement only per customer). CarbonLord even made criminal threats to reputatble bike shop owners that resisted his products and questionable business practices. For $250 you are not getting any improvement over Ultegra cranks (let alone Dura Ace) excep the magiv CARBON name.

To quadzilla: you are cheating yourself by saying those heavy solid 105 cranks are flexy. You just need some excuses to justify your wasting $200+.

A couple of years ago, carbonlord had a few deals go awry at MTBR.com If they still had the bad traders list you would see his name up there. Due to the fact he threatened violence and couldnt stop the profanity(along with slyfox..I mean Chris Fox or one of his may alias's), they did away with the good trader/bad trader page. If you happen to read this sabin...it was about a Kestrel that was beat up and sold as like new. Ring any bells? If I am not mistaken, you were in the Chicago area and were going to hunt down the buyer.
