spotted on ebay (not mine) but i ride one of their current frames and wish to spread the word on a little known but very nice maker of frames from Vicenza.

Cavalera (bassano del grappa)

will probably go cheap and would make a very nice retro-ish build. alas too big for me.

My main ride was also made in Vicenza by a different small builder (Gino Liotto). The craftsmanship is excellent (who doesn't love chrome?) as well as the Cavalera's from what I can see in the pictures. Throw in Campagnolo and you got yourself one helluva bike makin' town/region. Must be something in the water.

the list of glowing and well respected names of the bike indusrty. i suppose one could almost say that the region is as close as you could come to the home of cycling. i dream of biking through the area and visiting all the great names and enjoying the fine food and wine as well. beats a trip to wisconson in my view.
