On the Selle San Marco saddle that has the rivets on the back? Currently ride a Brooks Pro but am doing a restoration project, like the leather saddles, looking for something a little more slimmed down than the Pro for everyday and will put the Brooks on the restoration bike. How many grams does the San Marco weigh, nice lookin saddle.

it is somewhere in appearance between a Flite and a Brooks B17 and funnily enough somewhere between those two in comfort from my experience.

a little wider but not too wide, well made and very elegant looking although a little heavy compared to current lightweights but if you are forced to ride a prolink and you are not to keen on the acreage of Logo's then the regal could be an option. my ass loves 'em.

and i still think i know where to get a few white versions left. they are a commemerative "girardi" edition with copper colored rivets and rails. other wise the regular models are available most anywhere although excel sports has a version that i have never seen and hope never to see again such is its ugliness.

Description Rail Material Length Width Weight
Regal Ti Solid Titanium 280 mm 150 mm 300 gr
Regal Chromed Steel 280 mm 150 mm 380 gr

That sounds like about what I might be looking for. Am rebuilding my old 1978 bike and am looking for something like that to put on my Lemond that is comfy like my Brooks.

Today I found a set of 32 hole 27" rims from Richey and can lace up the 32 hole 600 hubs I have and some of the little clip thingies for the top tube brake housing(no bosses). Everything is cleaned lubed and polished and ready to return to action with a few minor exceptions (tires, tape, cables and housing) also found a used 44cm handlebar $10. Plus the bb I want to replace with a cartridge style. But the end is in site for my first real project restoration.

I'm looking for a replacement for the Selle Italia Turbo on my commuter. Found Selle San Marco Regal at Romeobicycles. com for $44. I may get two of them, so y'all better act fast. It weighs 362 gms. Is that lighter than the Brooks? If not, so what. I've never heard anyone complain about the Regal. It had a good rep back in the early 80s.
