Are the R535 wheelsets good? for a big guy? I have checked the review section..only one review.

The wheelset certainly has the cool factor. With $300, you can get a better custom wheelset built by other popular bike vendors such as www.excelsport.com or www.coloradocyclist.com using Dura Ace hubs or better and Mavic Open Pro rims. I had a set of the R535 wheel. The quality of hubs is so so. The rim is strong. It has to since there are only 16 spokes for a wheel. Get a custom wheelset using Dura Ace hubs and Mavic Open Pro rims and you will be very happy. The wheelset is about 1 lb lighter than the R535 and the Dura Ace hubs roll far smoother and quieter.

I agree that the hubs are so-so ... I was the guy who wrote the sole review. they roll OK, but are a bit heavy.
