|I just rented if for the first time and watched it while I was on the trainer. It is a great little documentary, I'm too young to remember the Merckx era and now I feel the need to rent every video that chronicles the 60's and 70's.
Here's what I found interesting:
riding without any eye protection over those dusty cobbles - amazing.
Damn French protesters have just been doing it for years haven't they! And that Woman who won't let go of Thevenet!
They all showered together in what looks like a gym circa 1900.
They rode their bikes from their hotels to the Start as a warmup - that was great!
I think my favorite past was the beginning when the mechanic is just cleaning the bike with a tiny brush.
I'm hooked, by the end of the weekend I'll probably have rented and watched them all!

|Those showers are at the Roubaix velodrome, and they are still used. Sometimes, there are even TV interviews of the riders while they are in the showers!|| |
