|I had that problem when my stem, still two inches lower than the saddle, was too short. My back was hunched and I was craning my neck to correct for it. When I lengthened the stem, my spine became naturally straighter, which held my neck straighter, and better able to hold my head up.
Think about it. Hunch your shoulders and then try to look above you. It hurts, doesn't it? Now stand straight up with your back flat and neck straight. It's easy to look up now, right?
If your neck is in line with your back, it's much easier to hold your head up, and your glasses won't be slipping down.

|Your glasses might be to heavy causing your head to tilt back. Switch to a lighter frame like ti or aluminum.|

|Had the same problem for years, since I started wearing glasses in my 30s. As you said, a strap to hold them up helped a lot, and if you get a cool one, you can sort of overlook the geek factor.
The real fix for me, though, came when I bought my Atlantis and set it up the way Rivendell recommended, with the bars about level with the saddle. I'm riding twice as far with no neck pain at all since then.
