it's bad place to find it for sure :(

I hit a bump and the whole bike started vibrate under me.. I thought I'm gonna loose it. Anyone had this happen?

; )

Once, not on a downhill though. A slight decline, traffic, a decent clip....and then WHAMMO! just sliding across the pavement whilst the bike spins away layed clean out from under me. Many pedestrians around too. Embarassing indeed.

"You okay man?"

"Shall I call a doctor?"

Nothing bad to come of it that new tape, some paint and plenty of gauze dressing wouldn't fix. Now I habitually check it before and during rides.

I was going 37mph. It was fine as long as rode was smooth then I hit wobbly section and and..

Luckily I remembered tip given me long time ago by experienced rider: release the brakes and squeeze TT with your knees it worked.

Needless to say from that point on I was going really slow on downhills

Happened to me once mountain biking, except I caught it early.

Rode about 2 - 3 miles of fast smooth single track, but I wasn't cornering very well. Felt out of sink. Thought I was just having a bad day. While stopped waiting for the rest of the group, I applied the front brake and rocked the bike back and forth... knock knock knock. I immediatley knew what the problem was. No wrench big enough, so had to tighten by hand every time I stopped (13 mile / 3200' descent).

Glad I discovered it when I did. There were some 40' drop offs here and there.

... about 10 at night so all bike shops were closed, my handlebars came loose in my stem, and of course I had for some reason forgotten to put my allen wrenches back in my pack. At first it was just a little loose (droppeed a little while braking from the hoods), so I stayed off the hoods, but by about halfway home, they were just swinging freely below the stem. It was actually great over the bumps... super smooth, and braking from the drops was not too bad either. Just turns. Turns and downhills were scary. Anyway, I won't forget my wrenches again...
