Feb. 1 = Summer??? I'm dying here!MB1

It is February first and 70 degrees in DC. I was wearing shorts and a t-shirt and was too warm. I guess I have gotten used to winter temps.

I am not sure if I should start a "What to wear in the summer thread" or just mix up some lemonade.

Tomorrow is supposed to be at least 50 degrees colder with howling winds. That should make for an interesting century.

Except for the past couple of days - lots of snow, sleet and rain - that was the winter that wasn't in southern Ontario and western New York. (Generally speaking, of course; Buffalo was hammered by the infamous lake effect over Christmas, but all in all it's been a dry, balmy winter in this neck of the woods.)

It's been unseasonalbly cold here in the NorCal foothills.
Snowed Monday and there is still snow and ice on the ground. Down to the 20's at night and 40's when I ride around noonish. I've managed to ride, but the effects of cold weather riding are catching up with me slowly but surely. I'm sure this weather is balmy compared to the eastern states winters...

Cold down here in the Bay Area too. The car dealer's sign over by the Dublin BART station read 26 deg. F one morning last week while I was waiting for the train to go to work. No snow for us, but folks in the North Bay saw some. Temps like that, particularly when coupled with precip, are extremely unusual around here.

On the bright side, it's warming back up again. I was able to get away with a long sleeve t-neck 1st layer under a summer jersey along with tights and wool socks for my noontime rde today.
Cliff, how about a Gunnar update. Inquiring minds want to know.nm BTW You know I've often wondered just how much I could jam into the heading if I tried, a lot I guess.MB1

The Gunnar problem has been resolved to my satisfaction. It's a whole bunch of people's fault, mine included. I like my Crosshairs a lot, and we're going for a 50 mile ride tomorrow. Unless I decide to ride the Waterford...
