Hi, I am heading to San Juan in March and I was wondering if anyone had experience riding there or if they could direct me to a good shop with bike rentals.

Thanks, Jon

My company is based in Puerto Rico and I go 3-4 times/yr. In the San Juan area traffic is terrible but there is an old Airforce base in San Juan that is now a quasi-industrial park. It is very safe for riding. You will see many cyclist on the base. Just ask someone where the base is. There are two decent bike shop in the Condado section of San Juan. It's right on the Condado strip with is close to all the hotels. Puerto Rico has alot of Tri-atheletes so there are alot of cyclists. Where are you staying? I can probably give you better info if I know where your staying. Feel free to email me at dhickey@caribbeantrans.com
