I use a Easton CT2 carbon post on my mtb, and I need a new one for my road bike. Is this a good post for the road?

Clamp on one end; fits in the seat tube ...sounds OK to me (nm)Retro

I have used the CT2 on my Aegis for 2 years now. The first CT2 loosened at the seatclamp and Easton replaced it at the end of the first year. I had a conversation with Easton about this post and the fact that the Aegis (like Look and others) have an internal wedge type of seatpost fixing system ( it isn't a clamp ). The wedges leave dents in the epoxy surface on the front of the seatpost. The Easton rep said that it was ok. My issue is that I would prefer to use a 25mm post in the 26.8mm hole with a shim and Easton's smallest size is the 26.8. I am going to change it to a U.S.E. carbon alien 25mm with shim.
Just read the directions...Geof

Install it correctly and you'll be fine... I've got a 350mm one on my Santa Cruz (compact frame) and love it. NO worries.
