Most bikes of race level tend to be around 18lb with cages and pedals. Some go lower but I wouldn't touch anything under 16 fully built and ready to race. Seems at this point the bikes starting to get too light. I have one at 17, one at 18 and a third at 21, as the weight decreases they seem to climb better, but as they decrease they seem to decesend a little more confidenty. I'd be more concerned about comfort and feel than counting the grams. Russ
