Well, I just installed my seatpost and was looking at the clamp. Is this clamp for 31.6-31.9 as stated on the instructions? Just wondering..doesn't seem to make sense to include this was a 27.2 seatpost. Thanks.
Is 31.6-31.9 the OD range of the SEAT TUBE it works with? -NMTig

The clamp goes on the outside of the tube, so the 31.6-31.9 is the outside diameter of the tube, while 27.2 is the inside diameter. Because of varying wall thicknesses, the Campy clamp will not fit on all bikes.

Take the clamp you have and spin it 180 degrees, so that the gap that's normally at the back is at the front. This is the solution that Campy recommended before they included their own clamp.

Standard seat tube size is 1-1/4 inch or 31.75mm. The range that you have specified is 31.75 + or - .15mm. Makes sense to me.
