|Man,i posted a pic of my bike in the photo gallery and like 4-5 people just started bashing away at it.I know alot of people arent that keen on aluminum frames but why bash someone elses bike just because you like a different brand better? later,Joe|

|I worked at a bike shop that was in the process of dropping cannondale from the line up from all the issues they had to deal with. Frame failures, waranty issues, recalls, and many other general issues contributed to this. If your specific bike workes for you, then great. I think that the problem is (or should be) with the company rather than each and every bike. I have a lot of friends who ride them and love them, and there is no overlying problem with every bike, so outright bashing is unneccesary.|

GT/Schwinn/Pacific really sucks.
and so on.
About the only bikes that don't suck are those sold by Gary V. Hobbs, or so I have been able to deduce thus far. But it's still early.
Because I have to be a contrarian,
PS: Of course, Colnago doesn't suck. I may have a chance to go to the factory sometime in the fall, so I have to polish up on my Italian for "can I have one of those C-40 things for like, um, free?"

|There's a bunch of guys who trash all the bikes with pictures posted. Usually they criticize stuff like the color of the handlebar tape, spacers beneath the stem, the type of saddle, height of the handlebars -- real important stuff. Just ignore 'em.|

|I checked out your picture and you have a fine, American made bicycle.I ride with plenty of people who ride Cannondales (my brother, for instance, has two) and they love them.
I don't know why they jumped on your bike as they did, but you sure don't need to bait the trolls. Maybe it was "My 'Dale", which could come off as very lame. The 17.4 lbs claim, while possibly accurate (no judgement here) seems a little overly precise and anal. Who knows? Sometimes it doesn't take much to set people off.
You need to be less insecure about such comments. They're just electrons on a computer screen. I would love to have a bike like yours in my stable. I know it's a good bike.
Besides, there are other brands that just get roasted on here, some for good reason. Be glad you aren't riding one of those.

|Yeah,i just didnt expect the reaction i guess,it dont bother me or anything i just thought maybe alot of people had bad experiences with cannondale frames.anyways your correct about the weight its 17lbs 14oz instead of 17.4oz and thats without the pedals also.i took it to the lbs for a once over to make sure i didnt screw anything up during assembly and to fine tune the derailers and stuff so he weighed it for me while i was there.Well, ill whine no more folks, guess it all comes down to the old saying:different strokes for different folks":) Later,Joe|

|J/K about the C40...if your pic had replies talkin about knowing Dale back in school and how easy she was etc I found those replies funny. Cannondales are nice bikes. I can see people commenting about a bike pic that clearly shows a bad setup but I wouldnt fret about your bike its nice. I had Dales in the past and they are good frames.|

|Don't let them get to you. I rode a Cannondale for quite a few years. It was, and still is a very fast bike. A Cannondale rode frame is one of the most popular frames for triathletes. I raced mine and was successful enough to bring home a bunch of silver. My Cannondale has now been taken off of the road but I couldn't part with it so it still serves me on the wind trainer.|

|The bike photos section has it's fair share of flamers, but the car photos bring out the worst. One young guy in gangsta jeans made the mistake of posting his photo with his '67 Camero, and the attacks are merciless!
Your C-dale is nice, and you know it. Don't let a few jerks bring you down to their level.
