|Any experience with CC matching the lowest price available for an item? I am probably going to use a Christmas gift certificate to buy an ergobrain. I hate to spend $130 with them when I can find it cheaper domestically - an MUCH cheaper overseas. I know I have a gc, but why not ask?
Anybody asked them?? Should I ask for a manager??

|but, no harm in asking. I find their prices pretty much retail. Nothing to shout about.|

|They might. I bought a bike from them (guess which one) a and a couple months later they had a price break and the price dropped $200 from what I had paid. I called them and asked if I could get credit since I would have waited had I known. It was a stretch but lo and behold they honored my request. At least then they were into customer service.
If one salesman says no call back and try another rep because some are more savvy than others.
CC is a great company, at least in my experience. You may have to email them a copy of a bonafide offer from a competitor. Also I think Excel will compete, you may want to try them.

|some places, CC included, will price match under a few circumstances: the price can be verified online, the deal is offered within the continental U.S., and it's not 15% (sometimes 20%) less than the price they have listed.
total cycling had those look pp296 pedals on for an incredible deal, but CC wouldn't match since (1) they were out of the country, and (2) the price break was too high (their loss).
agree with prior post. if mom says no, go ask dad.

I know this thread is about CC, but just to let y'all know, I got Excel to match a rediculous price on a Ritchey WCS stem, no verification asked. The price I quoted them was from ZonaBici (Italy i think).
An above post is correct. If one salesperson says no, call back and ask someone else.

|I called CC today to ask if they would match a price on the USE Alien carbon post I found at parker-international.co.uk...they said no way, so I called Excel Sports. ES sells it for $129, and the shim for about another $10, then shipping...talking around $150 or so. I could get both pieces shipped from the UK for $110. ES wouldn't match it, but they said they'd do $125 both pieces shipped. I decided to go with that because I'd get it a week sooner and keep my business in the states. They're still making $$ on it, otherwise they wouldn't have sold it to me for that.|

|I've asked for a price match that was available at Excel, and they said no.
I've used them for their excellant return policy and extremely good warranty on all of their products.
If the item may have a problem, the extra money is sometimes worth the peace of mind.
