Has anyone tried or used this saddle (selle
san marco triathlon gel saddle)? I've seen one,
it looks comfy and well cushion on all edges.
i tried to look for it on the selle san marco
website but it's not showing the product. is this
an old product? thanks for any input.

Don't know about that saddle, but I do know this:

Stay away from gel saddles.

Rather than relieve pressure, gel actually creates pressure points elsewhere. Have you ever squished gel in your hand? It doesn't compress; it just migrates elsewhere. Closed-cell foam, on the other hand, compresses. It creates no extra pressure points.

Gel in saddles is the biggest scam this side of Armor All, whose ingredients actually work with the sun to destroy your car's interior, but that's another discussion group. Ths point is, people buy gel saddles and wonder why they get sores.

Selle San Marco makes good seats. I have an Era on one of my bikes. Nice perch.
