Good grief. Some men are just blind. Color blind at least.
Oh well, bike love is blind as well I imagine.

My wife dresses me so I won't have to worry about this problem. ( :

My bikes are relatively retro grouch looking (boring or beautiful depending on your POV) so no worries there either.

Cheers mates! Pints tonite!

Say mate. Why did you take a great MTB and make a road bike out of it? Why didn't you just buy another model, fropm Cannondale? I had a F1000 and thought it was great to ride cross country MTB races. That's whats the 80 mm of travel is great at.

I have one friend in our road club using a Cannondale on our club rides. He can still do 16 plus average. He says he feels safer and comfortable with it. He has three road bikes and a recuberant bike.

I didn't knew our Bedford Pennsylvania bikes where sold in England.

You didn't know Bedford bikes were sold in England? Cannondale sells more bikes overseas than in the states. In the states, Cdale seem like a niche bike. not for everyone, but overseas, there are a great deal of people that would kill for a Cdale. They sell them just about everywhere. If it shows that Dale sells more bikes in the states, it is because Cdale pushes the USA dealers to buy up the stock...then they count those as SOLD...even if they sit rotting in shops all around the U.S. the only people that suffer are Cdale dealers who get stuck with the stock while Cdale boasts great enormous sales! I know a dealer that has bikes left over from the mid 90s. OUCH!

Cut him some slack - I'll play Sherlock here.
1) It's cold, see the snow in the back yard.
2) He lives in area that is normally warm. The house has no basement, so the ground does not freeze to any substantial depth.
3) He's going to wear this stuff in the dark. He's got his light and battery pack on. (also it's not 1:40, shadows are too long. It'll be dusk in 20 minutes).

He's just some guy who pulled every piece of cycle wear he's got on, because, "whooo dogie, it's cold out and I gotta go to work, because my car don't start below 30 degrees"

The bare, black rims on the car betray a lack of concern for appearance. What is the black thing hanging over his fly?
That "black thing" is a cod piece. Sheesh.Greg Taylor

I conclude from the bike components that you will find the missing hub caps from the the sub-compact installed on his Dodge monster truck parked just to the left of this photo.

Do you know this bloke? One of the goofiest bikes I've seen, being honest, and you're right--the color schemes have GOT to go!

On the plus side, he looks proud and happy enough, so to each his reach, I suppose. :| (smirk)

Makes me all the more pleased with myself for my own color-coordination (yellow/black/grey scheme).

Have a pint on me, Ahimsa!

Here's to ya,

with disk brakes and suspension fork/seatpost? I'm thinking that this guy is big on contradiction. That explains the colors, anyway.
former ussr and specialized partnership??? wowWoof the dog

Look onto his right shoulder/chest and you will see letters "CCP" right next to the strap. Add an extra "C" and it makes it an CCCP which stands for USSR of course. This could mean only one thing: this vest is an old ussr vest(red in color like a soviet flag), so specialized must be a former soviet biking company that now makes big bucks in this country only to give all the profits away to a russian mafia in Moscow.

I am sorry, i am sorry, i am sorry. only an innocent joke!!!! :-P

Sincerely

Woof, the capitalist pig.

the bike is set up as a singlespeed crosser, and he's heading out for a night ride in the cold weather. sounds about right.
With slick tires?spookyload
Jan 26, 2002 3:59 PM
Those don't look like cross tires. They look a lot like the Tom Slick tires I used last year. You wouldn't cyclocross with Tom Slicks.

Well, despite the lack of color combination.. one thing has got to be said about that bike.. put some proper tires on it, and it will make you a better rider.. oh.. it would keep you honest.. drops and a single speed. But fix the colors..
