Anyone know any kind of info on FELT road bikes? I just purchased one that fit like a glove. I guess this guy used to build frames for Trek and others. Hes some sort of Aluminum god or something. Any more info is appreciated.

i was just at lbs last night and he is a felt dealer. said jim felt was a metallurgist for trek and decided he could make better. bikes look nice. dealer was pushing them over his treks. basically said treks, lemonds, fishers, and kleins were junk. wonder if his trek sales rep would like to know this???? anyway... seemed like a nice bike. pretty affordable. weights were "1 to 2 pounds higher than they actually weigh" in the catalog according to this guy. dont know why a mfg. would put a higher weight. certainly heard of several underweighing......

Hey thanks for the web site! Too bad I dont speak German.
I dont see my bike on there either. I bought the 50R. It weighed in at the LBS at 17.4 lbs w/o pedals. IT was cheap enough (1,199) and felt(no pun intended) great. The only thing I didnt like on it was the beefy welds. I have a Klein also with nice smooth welds. But I guess that is totally different grade aluminum.
