The frame and fork together were right under 3 pounds, and the fork was 290 grams. So, what's that, about 2.3-2.4 pounds?

This was an early 2000. They got a little heavier later on. This is for a 55cm frame.

How do you like the ride of the '00? Any history of cracking or anything like that?

The sloping was a hundred grams or so heavier, but it did feel more solid. The early EV2 I can flex a bit in the bottom bracket; not so with the 2001 or my C40, for comparison.

No frame issues. I did break the first fork in the steerer above the top of the head tube, though. It sort of shredded. They warrantied it no problem.

I'd recommend the bike for lightweight racers. I don't think I'd use it if I were over about 180 pounds.
