On flat or rolling terrain, little or no wind, 80-90 rpm.
I seem to find myself in 53-19 or 53-17 a lot, and that's keeping the heart rate at 140-150 bpm.

Just curious.
42-14 - 42-18, ~100 rpm, < 155 bpm, ~20 mph - nmMcAndrus

On rolling terrain I use the 53-19 ring because the closest gears on the rear are 2 teeth more or less and I like the bigger changes. On flatter land I stay on the small ring for the smaller adjustment.
39x15, 16, or 17 using a 12-21 9-speed cog set, 100-110 cad. -NMTig
