Sun Buzz Wheels and Sun Ringle criticismNeo

I am looking at buying a used pair of the carbon rimed Sun Buzz clincher wheelsets. Anybody know the ind wheel weights or wheelset weight??? Any experience/info on these wheels that I should know about before I drop good money??

As an aside, I went to the SunRingle web site for info......what a poor website. Its useless. I couldnt find anything that I needed. So I contacted them to give them some constructive criticism, and got a real snotty, unprofessional response, probably from some teenage intern, telling me that I suck as a web critic. I told them that I represent the average consumer, and if I could find their site useful, I am sure many other don't and if they just bury their head in the sand, its their loss.

Anyway, you can be sure that I won't line the inside of SunRingle pockets in the future...........

sun website fine...str8dum1

i dont know what problem you had. its actually more informative about their rims and such than others in terms of specs etc. you are trying to find out about a rim thats been out of production for like 5 yrs. what do you expect.

if they are under 200$ buy em, otherwise if something happens to the rim your SOL because there are no replacement.
Is this the set on Ebay?jw25

If so, IMHO the asking price is way too high - like the person above says, $200 is more like it. For the $500 or $600 the seller wants, you could get a nice pair of Zipps or something similar, and have current product, instead of a 5 year old idea.
As far as the website, they're actually not bad. Considering the "Buzz" concept died pretty quickly, and was years ago, how much info did you really expect? Try looking for info on their older alloy rims, like the CR16.
The response from them was pretty sad, though - I'd bet the head of customer service would be interested in seeing it. I've had good experiences with Sun products, so I'd hesitate to judge them based on the attitude of one employee.
