More info on the 508 please.IAM

I have read a little about the 508 in posts in the past and would like more info.
I understand it's 508 miles, but I was wondering things like the route, support, how they deal with cars etc.
I have done a few 24hr MTB races (team) and have been very impressed with the solo riders, but this 508 seems to take it to another level.
Also how long does it take and how long do they allow for the slowest riders.
I know dog has done this event, are there any others here who have.
You wont see me there anytime soon, it's way out of my league I'm just intrigued>
Thanks
Ted

Go to that site and read everything there. Lots and lots of info. The most telling info are the Tall Tales from the people who have done it.

Thanks for the links.
What an amazing race or survival event I guess.
I am by no stretch of imagination an ultra endurance athelete
but I find it incredible how far the human body/mind can be pushed.
Hey Dog thats a great essay and it's sure to make me laugh at myself when I'm suffering on a half century.
Thanks
