was scrolling thru the web and whilst looking at a site for cycling films came accross this anecdote for the film "breaking away" that had me both laughing out very loud and also scratching my head.

The IU alum and USCF racer who did the riding "stunts" for Dennis Christopher (the actor who played the protagonist) is now a woman. No need to mention his/her name.

pray do tell.

i for one would love to find a copy of the last and possibly most eye opening film that only the europeans could make. "jour de fete" - maybe i could add it to the required viewing list along with "emmanuelle" for quiet nights in with my girl.
and as the days are short and cold...sorry
