Anyone heard of Simoncini?Eben

Bought a frame through ebay for fixed gear use. The brand is Simoncini and the model appears to be "Special Professional". I got a great deal on it and it's a fairly well made Italian steel frame but I was hoping someone could provide me with some history on this company. The only thing I can find on the web is some 2001 bikes listed on this site for review but there aren't any responses. If it helps identify the vintage some of the badging on my frame appears to feature world champoionship rainbow stripes. Thanks in advance for any help.
Excel sold them a few years backgrandemamou

I also had a friend that had one. It was made with Columbus SLX. Rode it once for a few blocks it was way too big. It was nice frame nothing spectacular kind of a middle of the road lugged, steel,Italian frame. If you are interested maybe someone at excel could help.

Simoncini is (was) an Italian frame builder who handmade (makes) frames in limited quantities. It promises to be a quick handling bike with a resilient ride, like the other limited production Italian bikes he was (is) competing with.

You're confusing Simonetti with Simoncini. Two separate companies.
