Are the head tubes the same on 1" and 1 1/8" bikes? Can I switch to a 1 1/8" system, or would i need a new frame?

Thanks,
dave m.

You would need a new frame. Sorry man, I wish it were that easy for you. Keep in mind threaded or threadless too when making a purchase.

There's no big advantage to 1 1/8 over 1-inch (I'm not sure there's ANY practical advantage, but I don't want to open that discussion again) except maybe that it's getting harder to find 1-inch parts. Easier and way cheaper to stay with what you have.

I was planning to buy a Look HSC3, but after hearing all the fuss below about the 1" carbon steerer's flexiness... I was wondering if a 1" to 1 1/8" conversion was possible on the same frame.

The only reason I want the HSC3 is it's low price compared to the Ouzo Pro.

Thanks...
