|I used Switchboard.com to help find bike shops for at trip to Kansas City last summer. I also found a site listing things about the city & found 2nd opinions & races in the area. Using the two, you can surf around or call to find a shop that has the best thing for you.

|B&J's occassionally rents road bikes. I have never done it, so I do not know how it works they have a web-site. I have a similar problem. I am originally from San Antonio, but live in New York. I am there every December, when the weather is perfect for riding, but my bike is in NY. I don't know whether you are familiar with the area, but there's a good group ride that starts at Eisenhower Park near Camp Bullis (NW, just outside 1604) on Saturday mornings. Great 50-60 mile ride through Hill Country ranchland. Ask at one of the local shops.|

|Hey! I live on the NW side of San Antonio! B&J's merged with another shop, so I wouldn't count on renting anything from them. I don't know of any shops that rent bikes. What size bike do you need? I have an extra bike (56c-c not too light and nothing fancy but it's a road bike). I can get free almost any afternoon, wouldn't mind a riding partner. Most local group rides are suspended until daylight savings time, these guys think it's freezing when it's 50 degrees outside. Email me and we'll try to set something up.|
