Believe it or not, we just got a freeze warning for Tampa, Florida. It is snowing in Pensacola, Florida. Is it the end of the world. I was going to ride Saturday, but everybody that rides with me is cancelling out. Woe is me!
This is really cold for Florida.

I thought the end of the world was supposed to be flame and fire, not snow. We have about 3 inches on the ground and right now it's snowing at a rate that will give us 6 inches by nightfall.

The temperatures are supposed to return to normal tomorrow (high 40s, low 50s) but there's enough snow in the streets now that it'll take more than a day to melt. Will I be able to ride Saturday? Oh, woe is me!
Buffalo Bills must have brought it with 'em :-) nmBrian C.

..which is cold for Houston. Thanks to the never ending humidity, 25 here feels like about 10 in the Rockies from my skiing experience. I like cold as long as the humidity is low. I only ride here when it's above 45 degrees F.
Spoiled? Hell, yes!
It hit in the low 20's here last night, too.guido

Get out your mittens and booties and go, Tig. I rode to work this AM, and it had already gone above freezing. I'm looking forward to the ride home. Sure is cold out there, but BRACING. The only problem would be having to stop and fix a flat. Brrrr.

The sun's getting a little higher here in Tyler, though, which means Spring is on the way! Rays of hope in January! November and December, the dark months, are gone.

To borrow a nice phrase from another contributor, Abide in Light,

Yep 20's in louisiana too. I will not ride below about 35. I can't get comfortable enough to get a decent work out. There are guys talking about what to do with frozen eyeballs. My solution don't ride!!!!!!!!!!! I'll be on my windtrainer cranking out with Stevie Rae Vaughn.

The wind is real bad, this to me is worst than the cold. They expect it to be in the 20's. This is really cold, I probably will wimp out, sleep late.
Welcome to my world!! Hahahahahahahahah. 20's? ha! (nm)Brooks

We've had more than a foot of snow in Raleigh, NC, and it's still coming down hard. It's not supposed to get above freezing until Saturday afternoon, and we may get more frozen precip on Sunday. I'm trying to decide whether to take my mtn bike out tomorrow. Otherwise, it might be a while before I get in a ride. I can't even drive to the YMCA for spin cycle classes with the roads the way they are right now.

These last couple of days in Utah have been the first since Thanksgiving where it has neither been snowing like nuts nor under 20 degrees.
61 degrees when I rode yesterday! ;-) (nm)Dog

Its Friday, 9:40 am - it is 35 degrees and expected to get cooler. Wind is really screaming. Hard to believe, but I suppose much of the South is experiencing much worse.
