Here I am, way out of shape, eating fatty holiday fare, drinking my fair share of Champagne, wine and even moonshine. MAYBE getting in ONE short ride a week. And in a few months I'll be doing another Double Century!
I love cycling!

About mid-December, I decided that trying to resist all the holiday food was futile. I resigned myself to eat anything and everything in sight through January 1. I finished my feeding frenzy tonight by polishing off a barbecue chicken and rib combo with beans, bread, and potato salad from Dr. Hogly Wogly's Tyler Texas Barbecue. Tomorrow I'm having dry toast and water.

Three doubles.
I'm planning to do a slow buildup starting in Feb. through the first Double in late May. The second Double is in late June followed by strength training period until the last one in September.
We'll see how the 46 year old bod holds up this time. The last Double was in '99.
