__________ vs. ___________(8 posts)

__________ vs. ___________Ahimsa
Dec 31, 2001 5:50 PM
Any of you fellow "All Weather" types might help me with this one. I have ridden wearing cheaper foul weather gear for years to limited satisfaction. I am finally going to scrape together the ducats to purchase a top of the line winter/spring wet weather "shell" jacket.

Does anyone use:

The Burley raingear "Rapid Rider"

-or-

Something from the Columbia Titanium line

-or-

Bellwether's "Storm Front"

-or-

Body Torque's "Zeppelin Rain Jacket" (Aussie company)

???

Cheers!

I don't suppose that the Eugene Oregon manufacture has anything to do with that? ( ;

I live in Seattle and just ordered the Burley based on a chorus of recommendations from my friends. Trust me, in the Northwest, regional loyalty matters f*ck-all when talking about raingear.
I'll bet.Ahimsa

I guess if anyone should know about rain, eh?

Thanks.

yup--it's whatever works best, and the Burley is the best rain jacket I have seen/tried. But I don't use it on mild or light rain days cause it's not very crushable.
