is a great program for making routes, etc. Delorme has a 'topo' mapping program that is teriffic for viewing hills, etc.....however, if you zoom-out for a larger overview, the street/road names disappear; which is undesirable plotting unfamiliar routes. MS S&T (IMHO)will measure the route in any fashion you wish; incremental or whole...your choice, and also you can highlight the route for printing. I use "SnagIt" software for making .jpg files to send to our riders. (SnagIt has been a life saver for me at the office as well as personal use...it's a shareware program: www.snagit.com)
