|... who is the living, breathing, riding encarnation of this site... of course, he's an engineer... and rides the hell out of his fixed gear rig...
... the thing is, after you get past the pocket protector facade of folks and sites like these, they actually have useful info (as opposed to the "my mind is already made up so don't knofuz me with facts" attitude of some).
Course, on the other hand, I've met engineers who refuse to believe a thing exists unless it can be "proven".
Velocity puts a slogan on their cage packaging... "I don't have a solution, but I admire the problem"

|YOU RIDE WITH A GUY? Aren't you the guy who uses the Park Tool formula to determine his optimum chain length? Are you sure that you aren't that guy?|

|... it can be humbling when, after mastering counting to ten without the aid of your toes or fingers, you meet folks who cypher prime numbers above 100 in their heads for fun...

|- that would be about perfect!
I work for an avionics R&D company that makes a little computerized box that measures airspeed, 3-d magnetic heading, has rate gyros, accelerometers, altitude, etc. Costs $20k. They're hoping to develop a much cheaper variant, and I wanna be the first to put one on a bike, possibly the ULTIMATE cycle computer, adding airspeed to the usual cyclecomputer measurements, then doing Analytic Cycling's calculations.
